540 Series
540 Series Fluid Eductors are constructed of corrosion resistant PVC and specifically designed for water treatment applications. The eductor cartridge is chemically bonded inside the housing for years of trouble-free service. For optimum performance, eductors should be installed with a section of the straight pipe extending from the discharge area. These eductors can be installed horizontally or vertically.

TO CALCULATE DRAW RATE
Where A = Nozzle Flow Rate; B = Draw Factor; C = Efficiency Factor; D = Specific Gravity
DRAW RATE = (A x B x C) ÷ D
Example: Find draw rate for 30% hydrochloric acid at inlet pressure of 60 psi and back pressure of 5 psi for 1 inch blue code eductor.
From Performance Tables: At 60 psi, Model 542-3 (blue code)
A = Nozzle Flow Rate = 14.4 gpm
B = Draw Factor = 0.82
From Efficiency Graph: C = 5 psi back pressure @ 60 psi inlet pressure = 74%
From Specific Gravity Table: D = Specific Gravity of 30% Hydrochloric Acid = 1.14
Draw Rate = (14.4 x 0.82 x 0.74) ÷ 1.14 = 7.66 gpm
