SWT's CMX Ceramic Media provides the best of all worlds:
high volume throughputs, the finest in micron particulate filtration,
and ultra-low backwash requirements.
CMX is manufactured in kilns in a tightly controlled process that produces an ultra-performance material with remarkable surface area and spherical particle consistency. It is tough and durable and able to withstand temperatures as high as 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It's a chemically inert medium that provides excellent resistance to acids, caustics, oxidants, and ferric salts. CMX is available in two grades: M1 (60 to 80 mesh size) and M2 (40 to 60 mesh size). It is specially engineered for applications including industrial filtering, municipal water works, commercial process water, pressure filters, and surface and ground water.
