SWT Y-Pattern Globe Valves
Y-Pattern Globe Valves are angle seat valves that provide proportional opening to seating disc travel. They are available in sizes 1/2 through 4 inch and are used primarily for throttling purposes. Y-pattern globe valves may be considered general purpose flow control valves. They are generally faster to open and close than gate valves. The seating surfaces are less subject to wear and their high pressure drop makes them useful controlling pressures. The Y-pattern configuration reduces pressure loss over that of standard globe valves.
